For individuals, couples and groups.
The Ruby Centre was established in 2002 and is justly proud of its reputation for providing a high standard of service to the community. Many self-referring clients contact us when experiencing delays in accessing NHS counselling provision. Often clients come via personal recommendation.
Our therapists are experienced senior practitioners who have trained in a variety of therapeutic models including CBT. Our approach is to select a way of working best suited to the individual and the issues s/he brings to therapy. We believe that successful outcomes depend less on techniques and more upon the qualities of the relationship between the therapist and client: mutual respect, genuineness, empathy and trust. There is a wealth of research evidence supporting this view.
Come and meet our psychotherapists at our counselling centres in Felixstowe and Woodbridge, a short distance from Ipswich in Suffolk. Our counsellors will be delighted to welcome you to The Ruby Centre.
From time to time the Ruby centre offers group-work. We are currently offering a regular Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, MBCT group.
MBCT, a recommended 'treatment of choice', (NICE, 2003) for relapse prevention of depression, is also effective with many other chronic conditions: stress, anxiety, pain, addictions ... it teaches powerful self-help strategies via 8 week evening classes.

Talking therapies can help people to explore and reflect on emotional difficulties and provide an opportunity to make positive changes in their lives. The relationship with the therapist offers a safe place to identify underlying issues and helps the client make sense of what is troubling them.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help people suffering from a broad range of psychological, emotional and mental health issues: depression, anxiety and stress, bereavement and loss, past childhood abuse and trauma, eating disorders, self harm, relationship problems, work related issues, anger management, etc.
We have psychotherapists at our counselling centres in Felixstowe and Woodbridge, both within easy reach of Ipswich and East Suffolk.
Ruby Centre psychotherapists offer sessions in two Suffolk towns:
Both venues have good parking, are wheelchair accessible and within easy reach of the town centre.
If you were looking for counselling or psychotheraphy in Ipswich, why not make the short drive to see us in Felixstowe or Woodbridge instead?
